You are a hands on team player, passionate about design, technology and getting the word across. You’ll strive in a demanding environment to deliver high quality implementation for our go-to-market strategy aimed to increase brand awareness and client adoption.

Working closely with the Director of Technology, you will support our outbound marketing communications programs by providing amazing copywriting, graphic design and Web page creation.

Responsibilities Include

  • Write copy, edit, proofread, and assemble final copy/artwork/graphics. Review work for clarity, accuracy spelling and syntax, and conformance to applicable standards in preparation for review
  • Plan and display various graphic illustrative projects, using existing artwork, royalty free graphics and photographs, etc. (wherever possible) to achieve effective visuals
  • Lay out Web Pages using WordPress (Visual Composer) with ingenuity and originality in the presentation of company information
  • Develop initial graphic concepts to support content development for various communications channels
  • Photo editing via Adobe Photoshop and vector creation via Adobe Illustrator
  • Conduct research in support of creative projects
  • Participate in team meetings associated with assigned tasks


  • Post-Secondary studies, College Diploma or University Degree in related field is a must
  • Entrepreneurial, highly motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a marketing team
  • This is an entry-level position, real-world experience in Marketing Communications will be ideal
  • Intermediate dexterity of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience working with WordPress is an asset
  • Strong understanding of lead generation principles including the Sales and Marketing funnel
  • Savvy at managing relationships both internally and externally with vendors

What We Offer

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Project Manager to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

Working within the framework of Agile methodology, you will use your technical expertise to help deliver Online and Mobile Software Solutions that meet customer expectations, as well as, project scope, schedule and budget.

Specifically, you will manage concurrent, high-visibility projects, from conception to release in a fast-paced environment and involving integrated systems of enterprise applications that include databases, web services, backend and frontend development, as well as, mobile applications for iOS, Android and Windows.

Primary duties and responsibilities of this dynamic role include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with management and clients to define project scope and deliverables that support business goals
  • Define and communicate project expectations and success criteria to all team members and stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using established processes and appropriate tools
  • Working with the team to estimate the resources required in achieving project goals
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Create and disseminate progress reports, proposals and relevant documentation, as well as deliver presentations
  • Monitor and manage potential changes to project scope by identifying potential issues and developing appropriate contingency plans
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
    Conduct thorough project review


In situations that require a hybrid Agile approach, using good judgment and skills you will develop a PM approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort to achieve the project goals within designated project constraints

In performing these roles, you will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.


Our ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in managing projects with traditional and agile methodologies. It is important that you seek continuous improvement and lead through ideas, not the title. By utilizing your strong communication skills and adopting an authentic “hands on” approach, you will take the time to understand each person’s individual strengths to ensure that all resources are being fully optimized. You must also be open to new ideas and look to gain consensus from stakeholders when making critical decisions. Also, you must have:

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering or computer science and/or prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI, CSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Designers, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel

The interview process

If you are selected for an interview, we’ll contact you directly to set it up. Most positions require a minimum of three interviews: an initial interview with a member of the recruitment team, a second interview with a member of our technical staff and a third interview with the hiring managers.

The interview process can vary depending on the opportunity available, but we will always inform you ahead of time so you’ll know what’s coming next and have time to prepare.

First Interview

Objective: the first interview will consist of a series of questions aimed to test your soft skills. Our attempt is to get to know you better and go through your C.V. more in detail. The questions we ask are not very technical and are meant to understand your expectations, future goals, knowledge and experience on the job in questions.

Expectations – We expect you to be frank, honest and personable. We expect you to tell us what intrigued you to apply for the job, how you have worked on similar positions in the past and how you think you will contribute within our company.

We will also set expectations for the second interview and the next steps in the process as well as the topics that will be covered in the second interview.

Second Interview

Objectives: The second interview is aimed to challenge your understanding and knowledge regarding the specific information contained in the job description.

Important: Usually a member of our technical staff will be present in this process and you may need to complete a short but specific written assessment in the form of a test.

Expectations – We expect you to have sufficient technical knowledge on the functions you will be performing on the role you are applying for. Although there will be a minimum passing grade, we will look at the quality of your answers and your honesty when not understanding aspects of the test.

Third Interview

Objectives: Typically, the third and final interview will be with the hiring and financial managers. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your potential career path at Bwired in greater detail and see how it fits into the company’s vision.

Expectations: We expect you and us to be content and come to a decision together on your future in our company. If you have already made it to this far, we are confident that you will perform well in your role but we still need to address the details before you are hired.

The job offer

If you’re the strongest applicant for the position, we’ll conduct criminal and reference checks the position requires. Upon successful completion of these checks, we’ll make you an offer whether, of employment or in a contract basis.
