Our community is very important to us here at bwired and we have gladly given of our time and
resources to so many great causes in the past few years, that we wanted to let others know how we feel
about our great community. It is not about the recognition, it is about helping others.
In support of local children’s charities like Kids Ability and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kitchener
Grand River, the annual Mudpuppy Chase is one of the events we have participated in.
The YMCAs of Cambridge & Kitchener Waterloo are charitable organizations that strengthen our communities by providing opportunities for personal growth.
The Chamber of Commerce provides strong, continued service to over 1800 members in our business
communities. For the past 128 years, the Chamber has expanded into one of the largest and innovative
Chambers in Canada by focusing on the needs of all our members, big and small.
In the summer, we have rolled up our sleeves and given blood to the local blood donation centre, the Canadian Blood Services’ Blood Donors Clinic located at 94 Bridgeport Rd E, Waterloo, ON N2J 2J9.
At Thanksgiving we gave a donation to the local food bank and helped several hundred people in the area receive what we all take for granted, a meal.
We also take the time to volunteer at Double Dragon Martial Arts and Fitness. Antonio’s son Diego is a Sifu (black sash) and gives of his time every week to help our local children learn Kung Fu. Todd helps every year at every event, (his two daughters take Kung Fu) and this year it was twofold Rudolf in an ugly Christmas sweater and Santa to give out gifts to the well deserving boys and girls in our local Martial Arts community.
As we make our lists and check our code twice, we at Bwired always find time to help those in need in our community. In conjunction with clients and friends, our staff canvass and collect non-perishable food items for schools around the area.
Stay tuned to our next blog, where we talk about our Chile office and how they help their local community.
